About Us
CoEBU was established in 2015 under the School of Bioprocess Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. The purpose is to focus on research involving the utilization of biomass, since the location of the centre is in Perlis, where the main produce are paddy, sugarcane, mango farms and teakwood among others. The establishment is in line with the 11th Malaysia Plan (2016-2020), Strategy 4 which is to pursue green growth for sustainability and resilience. This CoE is well planned in the interest to enhance research culture in combining chemical engineering, agriculture, bioprocessing, biosystems and others to convert waste to wealth.
Pencapaian Utama CoEBU
1. Penyeldik COEBU Menerima dana industri lebih daripada RM 500, 000 sejak dari 2021.
2. COEBU menjadi antara Pusat Hub wilayah utara bagi melatih para pengusaha cendawan, dengan teknik penanaman yang betul daripada biomass.
3. Penubuhan Innovation Centre for Clean Water & Sustainable Energy (WISE)- Taiwan in COEBU UniMAP.

1. Soialisasi dengan masyarakat sekitar ITS: BERBISNIS JAMUR : BUDIDAYA DAN PERHITUNGAN EKONOMINYA, dengan kerjasama Insititut Teknologi Sepeluh Nopembenr (ITS) Surabaya Indonesia.
2. Program mobiliti antarabangsa dengan pihak ITS Surabaya.
3. Bengkel Inovasi Terkini Penanaman Cendawan yang melibatkan knowledge transfer program kepada usahawan dan komuniti di dalam dan luar Perlis-high impact USR.
4. ROGRAM KOMUNITI HEBAT KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER DARIPADA SISA MENJADI BERHARGA Anjuran: Pusat Kecemerlangan Penggunaan Biojisim (CoEBU), UniMAP dan Komuniti Kg. Utan Buluh, Jejawi.
